What Does This Test Check?

These tests look at male fertility, covering both the hormones that drive sperm production and, in the rapid option, sperm concentration directly. Together they screen for the most common male factors that can affect the chance of conceiving.

The options differ widely in price and method. MyHealthChecked offers a sperm concentration rapid test for £12.50 with a 5 to 10 minute result, the fastest and cheapest here. Goodbody Clinic charges £79 for a hormone and fertility blood test, while the fuller Medichecks male fertility test is £209.

A single test may indicate a possible fertility issue, but fertility depends on both partners and many other factors. One low measurement does not mean you cannot conceive, so interpret the results with a GP or fertility specialist.
