What Does This Test Check?

This page gathers STI home test kits that screen for several common sexually transmitted infections in one go. The checks cover infections such as chlamydia and gonorrhoea and often HIV and syphilis too, using a blood or swab sample you take yourself.

Forth offers three tiers, from the Basic kit at 42 pounds up to the Full kit at 129 pounds, while Randox Health offers a clinic-based Complete STI test at 227 pounds. Forth is the cheaper route whether you want a basic screen or the widest home panel, and Randox is the priciest at the top end.

A negative result is reassuring but does not cover every infection and may be a false negative if you were tested too soon after exposure. A positive result may indicate an active infection that is usually treatable, so act on it quickly. Book a follow-up with a sexual health clinic or GP for confirmation and the right treatment.
