Luteinising Hormone
What Does This Test Check?
This test measures luteinising hormone (LH), the pituitary hormone that triggers ovulation in women and supports testosterone production in men. It is used to investigate irregular cycles, fertility and suspected hormone problems.
Lola Health offers the Luteinising Hormone test at £15, with results in one to four working days from a home sample. As the sole option here, there is no provider comparison to make.
A surge may indicate ovulation is imminent, while a persistently high level may point to conditions such as PCOS, and a low level may suggest the signal from the brain is weak. Hormones swing through the cycle, so take the result to your GP for interpretation in context.
