What Does This Test Check?

This test measures the balance of omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids in your blood. Those fats influence the health of your heart, joints, skin and inflammatory response, and the ratio between them matters as much as the totals.

Medichecks offers the Omega-3 and Omega-6 test for 99 pounds, while Thriva charges 119.70 pounds for the same two panels. Both are home finger-prick tests, so Medichecks is the less pricey option of the two.

A low omega-3 result may reflect a diet short of oily fish and may link to a higher inflammatory load, while a skew toward omega-6 may indicate processed food intake.
