What Does This Test Check?

These tests screen for coeliac disease by checking the antibodies the body makes in response to gluten, markers of an immune reaction to the protein.

Two providers are listed, Bluecrest Wellness at £65 and Goodbody Clinic at £179, more than double the price. Bluecrest is the cheaper option, though the higher Goodbody screen tends to include a wider immunity panel, so compare what each test covers before choosing.

Positive coeliac antibodies may indicate an immune response to gluten, but they do not confirm the condition on their own and you should keep eating gluten and discuss the result with a GP before any dietary changes.
