What Does This Test Check?

These tests check your cholesterol, a fatty substance carried in the blood, and its related markers to give a picture of your heart and circulation risk.

Eight tests span seven providers here, from £39 at Medichecks up to £189 for the Enhanced Cholesterol test at Goodbody Clinic, with YorkTest at £41, MyHealthChecked at £45 and Numan at £58 in between. Medichecks is the cheapest while the enhanced Goodbody profile is the most detailed, so compare the panel before choosing.

Cholesterol levels may indicate your heart risk, but they are only part of the picture and a single reading does not confirm disease, so the result should be reviewed with a GP alongside blood pressure and lifestyle.
