What Does This Test Check?

These tests measure oestradiol, the main form of oestrogen in the body, which plays a central role in reproductive and bone health. The level indicates how much active oestrogen is circulating.

Two providers offer this check. Forth is cheaper at £40 while Medichecks charges £49. Both test the same hormone, so the difference comes down to price and provider preference.

A level outside the range may indicate an imbalance, but oestradiol swings naturally through the menstrual cycle and varies with age and life stage. One reading does not define your hormonal health, so discuss it with your GP in context.
