Omega 6:3 Ratio
What Does This Test Check?
The omega 6:3 ratio compares the two main families of essential fatty acids in your blood. A lower ratio is generally linked to a more anti-inflammatory profile.
Lola Health lists this as an add-on biomarker at £65.16, posted as a home sample with results in one to four working days. It cannot be bought on its own: you pick it while ordering one of Lola's main blood tests, so it suits someone who already knows which extra marker they want.
A high ratio may indicate a diet heavy in processed oils relative to oily fish, and levels shift over weeks of changed eating. It is a dietary compass, not a disease test. Whatever the reading, an out-of-range result needs a doctor who can see the whole picture, so go through it with your GP before acting on it.
